Need new furniture?

Do you need new furniture and you've got no money?

Ask your friends. Maybe someone in their family is moving and wants to find a new home for furniture.

Look at the leaflets at the supermarket. Some people first try to give furniture away before the throw it away.

Some councils have a special recycle unit. Go and have a look.

And ofcourse second hand shops are OK.
Ask the owner to keep your adress and warn you when he can't sell something and is OK with you picking something up for nothing. It's always better than throwing furniture away.

repair wood

Small dents and lines in wood can be repaired, but you have to be careful. So try this advice at an invisible place first.

Put a damp cloth on the place,
and hold a hot iron on top for a few seconds.

Catch woodworm

It's an oldfashioned advice, but in case you're having woodworms you might need it.

Put a few acorns in the furniture where you can hear the woodworm or see the sawdust coming out of a hole.

Woodworms love acorns and will crawl in them.
