A lovely present for mom, or the child itself

Spring is the best time to take photographs from new life.

So take a day off, pack a bag with goof and drinks, take your camera and leave the house.

A child loves to find nice spots with new life.
Little ducks, new small flowers, new leaves on branches. There are so many small presents in nature.

At a rainy day you can look through all the photos and make a nice booklet for the child itself or for the mother.

It's very special to teach a child the sounds of the animals when it was present when the photographs were taken. And it will love the photos instead of one of those old fashioned picture books.

Birthday presents and visitors

In the past I've been invited for coffee and it turned out I was at a birthday.
It was an awful experience to be without a gift. I really didn't know the hostess would be celebrating her birthday.

Since then I keep in the hall a few packages with a towel, washingcloth and soap.
In case someone lands in the middle of a birthday celebration I slip the package in their bag, explain the situation in a few words and the visitor won't feel embarrassed at all.

Christmas for overseas friends

One of the main things people who live far from their homecountry miss at christmastime is their own traditions.

So when you prepare a surprisde for them why not wrap up special sweets and cookies, using old fashioned wrapping paper.
And why not make a tape or CD with those old fashioned songs>

It'll be extra special when they're recorded from a gathering with friends and family who sing along.

A simple present: tags

I'm always trying to find presents which are not given often and are inexpensive.
Not only because i don't have much money to spend, but also because I want us to get out of the spiral of escalating expenses for presents.

A friend suggested I could make tags.

Which was a great idea.

So for the ever jam making, collecting and ordering friend I made tags.

I found a nice form to cut, and painted a simple but nice design on them.

because I liked the painting I also made a few bookmarks with the same design and finsihed it all with a birthdaycard in the same style.

Fun to make, fun to give and fun for the wallet too.

Nails

In the sixties we glues small flowers on our nails, or painted them.
It's in fashion again and I have to say: it's nice to see so many different nails.

So when you're short of a good present for a girl or young woman, buy a set of naildecorations. They come in all sorts and sizes. You have to watch the pirzes though.

Add some coloured nailpolish or transparent nailpolish and you'll hit the right spot with the spresent.

finding a present

Sometimes it's difficult to find a present for someone.
Especially when the person is not a friend or family member.

Candles always make a nice gift.

But have you considered buying a towel and some matching accessories, like soap, a comb and such?

Wrap it up nicely and add a flower to the wrap.

It's also a nice welcoming present for someone who stays at your house for the night.

bulbs for a present

There are all osrts of wonderful presents in the whole wide de world, many of them made by the visitors of this blog.

But when you don't have much money you either have to make something yourself or roam the shops.

An easy way out for a gardener or flowerlover is buying bulbs, put them in a pot and wrap them in some nice paper or a nice piece of fabric.

There's nothing more fun for someone who loves spring and it's presents to see the bulbs appear and flower.
