A lovely present for mom, or the child itself

Spring is the best time to take photographs from new life.

So take a day off, pack a bag with goof and drinks, take your camera and leave the house.

A child loves to find nice spots with new life.
Little ducks, new small flowers, new leaves on branches. There are so many small presents in nature.

At a rainy day you can look through all the photos and make a nice booklet for the child itself or for the mother.

It's very special to teach a child the sounds of the animals when it was present when the photographs were taken. And it will love the photos instead of one of those old fashioned picture books.

Beads and buttons

Children love beads and buttons, so always keep them and never throw them away.

Glueing several buttons on top of each other, with the holes alligned makes a perfect stand for incense. To make the small tower stable you can glue them on a small tile.

You can also make lovely hairaccessories with buttons, ribbons and... small bells.

Good luck!

collecting newspaper articles

When you've got the habit of cutting out newspaper articles, don't throw them on a pile, because you'll never find that single one back when you need it.

Take boxes or maps and create subjects to file your articles under.

Finding an article will be much easier and you will be able to replace old ones if necessary, so you can keep your subjects updated.

Knitting patterns

No need to live without fingerless gloves.
In fact, they're fashion and I've found not only ready made ones online, but also knitting patterns for all who dare to have a go with the knitting needles and some wool.

Valeries Galery has a great variety of ready home made knitwear, including fingerless gloves, and she has knitting patterns for a very reasonable prize.

Go and have a look and tell me if you like her knitwear as much as I do.

Goodies from the library

Many libraries take books, cd's and other items out of their collection at the end of the year.

Here, the library sells them for 1 or 2 euros, regardless of their condition.

That means I sometimes can buy the best and most expensive books for almost nothing.

They're wrapped in plastic and have a stamp of the library on it, and sometimes a magnetic strip, but when you're someone who loves to read that doesn't matter.

Because they're not suitable for birthday gifts those books are a present for myself.

Last year I've found someone with the same addiction, and we decided to exchange our bought library books.
Already we're in a circle of 7, and we enjoy each other's choices.

Beware of CD's and tapes and such.
They can be damaged and you can't see that from the outside.

But books: books are great!
