wine and salt

Don't panic when a glass of wine tumbles over.

Ofcourse... it can ruin your beautiful tablecloth, your clothes, your carpet,
but rubbing with a cloth only spreads the problem.

Immediate action is important, so when you serve red (and white) wine, keep salt ready.


Take salt and pour it on the stain abundantly.
When a whole glass is creating a small lake, you might take up the redded salt with a spoon and repeat pouring salt on the stain.
Don't ever rub the stain!!

As long as the stain is wet, salt will uptake the liquid and dry the stain.

Clothes can be washed with water and salt.
